FLoret flowers

Rosario Beach, Washington

I wanted to capture the true spirit of the sea, the richness and mysteriousness of all that it encompasses. Bringing in colors the sky reflected in the water with the rich gray blues and oyster shells. To complement the surrounding multifaceted beach stones the use of different tones and textures was extremely important. Giving the tablescape life of its own in the movement of the silk runner cascading along the table to the beautifully undulating texture of the flowers (grown locally in Washington by Floret). I am always looking for ways to create a space that fits in with the surroundings, instead of something that is just placed there.
